OPTYX Invites Everyone To Accept
The World Sight Day
#LoveYourEyesChallenge
World Sight Day 10-14-21
For Immediate Release: October 12, 2021
Greenvale, NY
Globally, there are 1.1 billion individuals that live with vision loss. Unfortunately, over 1 billion people also do not have access to eye-care services, that’s 1 in 7 people world wide.
Eye health isn’t just about sight; it’s about physical and mental health as well. Vision loss has been linked to a greater risk for premature mortality, dementia, anxiety, and depression. A simple routine eye exam can detect many diseases and health risks at an early stage.
This year’s theme for World Sight Day is #LoveYourEyes, which calls upon everyone to schedule a vision exam and encourage their loved ones to do the same.
Throughout October OPTYX will be making a charitable donation and giving complimentary eye exams to those in need, with our non-profit community partners on Long Island and in NYC.
Now more than ever, it has become critical for us to be aware of our eye health. That’s why OPTYX is honoring World Sight Day, with a social media campaign, where we encourage people to take a photo with a hand love heart on your eyes, tag @onesight @Optyxnewyork #LoveYourEyesChallenge & #ShareThe Love on October 14, in an effort to spread awareness of blindness and vision impairment as a significant global health issue and share ways to prevent blindness.
We invite you to join us in supporting healthy sight and increased eye-care opportunities. Together, the efforts we make today will provide greater vision for tomorrow.
