Every time I have an appointment at Optyx East Hampton, I am treated like a star. Jesse is the best! He helped me find the perfect glasses for my face and he is fun to work with. The selection is beautiful. A great experience.

I lost my glasses in the ocean. I reached out to them one hour before they closed to try and get a replacement. They were very helpful and I was able to leave the same day with a new pair of glasses.

Not sure if the store manager thinks he has a good sense of humor or he just enjoys being blatantly sarcastic and demeaning but i have to say, i've just experienced the worst customer service ever. I wear glasses but i'm not super familiar with the different style / design names and "he" just loved that i was less knowledgeable about his world than I. An incredibly pretentious, entitled and arrogant individual.

I was traveling & needed my old lenses transferred into my sun glasses b/c my new prescription was hurting my eyes and giving me headaches. Optyx was the only place open on a Saturday morning. When I called ahead, they said come in and they would help if they could. When I got there, Jesse, the manager immediately changed the lenses. Then I browsed and chatted with him and another man working there. Both were as nice and helpful as they could possibly be. I ended up buying eyeglass frames which I love. Highest recommendation for Optyx!!

Mary is the kindest. I walked in over the summer, with glasses that did not come from Optyx, but needed a quick fix. Well, within five minutes is was all done and Mary was the kindest. Great customer service for sure!

Woof, I could end my review there. I scheduled an eye exam a few days ago and read the sign stating “masks required”, totally fine— without even entering the store I said the the woman behind the desk that I have an appointment at 12:30 but my mask is in my car so I asked if she had any in the store I could use rather than walk back to my car being late for my appointment. She proceeded to scold me like a misbehaved child about New York State mask policy in a very aggressive manner. I said, again, I can go back to my car I’m simply asking if you have a spare mask in-store or not. She interrupted me to say “Let me finish— we’re in a pandemic…” as a New York State registered nurse, I am acutely aware— we are all human and sometimes simply forget. This behavior from your staff was wildly uncalled for. I will not be returning for business and will be sure to encourage my family and colleagues to avoid this behavior as well.

Test was done on Monday at 3 PM and I didn’t have the prescription till Wednesday night and had to make 2 calls to finally get the prescription. Disappointed with the service.

This is a courteous, high-end place with competent staff and a smooth process for getting you through your optometric appointments.

They don't take VSP. In fact, I'm not sure what insurance they DO take, when it comes to frames and lenses. You should expect to pay full price ($300-$400) for glasses unless you have really outstanding coverage.

The whole focus of the optometric exam is fitting you out for glasses, preferably more than one pair. They're not overly concerned with your optical health -- which was fine with me, because I hate how much time that stuff sucks up.

I'm quite glad they're around.

The owner could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable. Not only is the selection beautiful—all the better to tempt you in from the sunshine—but there is a graciousness about the place and staff that feels “right”. Super thankful to have found it!

Just rec’d my new prescription eyewear... perfection! 1st time here, 1st time I ever didn’t need to go back for an adjustment on a new pair of glasses. And, lens are top notch!

I went in for a glasses adjustment and found the nicest glasses shop in East Hampton. Friendly, kind staff; a formidable selection of glasses (next time I'm in the market, this is my first stop); and a gratis service of adjustment for all my bent-out-of-shape sunglasses without a word of complaint. It was service with a smile during a time when most retailers are worked to the bone. If OPTYX can make a free service so pleasant, I can only imagine how much you get when you actually pay for it.

Mary Kate Mcnally is simply the best! She took the time to help me find the perfect piece of eye wear and was extremely fast in delivering the final product. I was in from out of town and in a bind and she truly went out of her way to treat me with the utmost amount of respect and professionalism. If you're a local or out of town Mary Kate and OPTYX is the way to go!
